The International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF) is a global leading event of the infrastructure industry. Finalcad is participating in the 9th edition, held on June 7-8, 2018 in Macao SAR, China.
The International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (IIICF) is an international forum with the theme of investment and construction of infrastructure, which was founded in 2010 by CHINCA with the approval of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The Forum serves as an important platform to exchange strategic thinking and insights, explore opportunities and seek cooperation. The Forum has been successfully held six sessions in Beijing and Macao respectively, having attracted more than 8,000 delegates from nearly 100 countries and regions, including about 150 ministerial officials. It has grown into a global leading event of the international infrastructure industry.
This year, the 9th edition of IIICF is expected to attract more than 1700 delegates from over 60 countries and regions including around 50 ministerial officials.
The 9th IIICF shall be convened with the theme of Fostering New Drivers of Development to Boost Infrastructure Construction and Connectivity. In the context of the transformation from the old development drivers to the new ones, the 9th IIICF shall probe into ways on how to boost the new drivers of infrastructure development and international cooperation through innovation, technological changes, and mode transformation, so as to promote infrastructure construction and connectivity over the Belt and Road countries. The 9th IIICF will open with the launching Ceremony of The Belt and Road Infrastructure Development Index 2018 and The Report on the Belt and Road Infrastructure Development Index 2018.
As part of the new drivers of development for infrastructure, the digital transformation has clearly been identified in the IIICF agenda. On Day 3, a dedicated session entitled "Digital Transformation: How Technologies Innovate the Infrastructure Industry" will specifically address this topic:
