Daily safety management with Eiffage Group

December 13, 2018    |     Geneviève

Eiffage Génie Civil (civil engineering), a division of the group's Infrastructures branch, is currently in the process of extending three station platforms on Toulouse Metro Line A; these works will double the line’s transport capacity.

Context

This a one-of-a-kind job consists in doubling the number of subway trains by expanding three stations that were too short, while keeping service active. Therefore, many safety challenges were to consider, but collaborators were also facing very tight deadlines during the entire project.

Results

Even though this new solution was implemented when the project was in full swing, the teams dedicated some time to ensure the solution was implemented properly. One of the key advantages stated was the ability to consult their blueprints while working. Considering the linearity and complexity of this project, it comes in very handy to be able to locate information on mobile blueprints.
