In 2007, Jimmy Louchart, Joffroy Louchart and David Vauthrin teamed up to digitise work site expertise. The Finalcad field construction application was launched in 2011. The platform’s goal was to help each and every individual working on a construction site to be proud of their work by assisting them in communicating with various teams and ridding them of non-value-added tasks.

In 2014, Finalcad raised €2.1 M. In 2016, the company raised €17.8 M and another €35 M in 2018. With partners such as Serena Capital, Aster Capital, CapHorn Invest, Cathay Innovation and Salesforce Ventures, Finalcad can boost its operations in Europe and Asia, where it has been operating since 2013.

As of 2019, Finalcad has 120 employees and has joined the Next40 group of start-ups.
