Enabling BIM onsite

Construction projects are increasingly incorporating systems of digital sensors, intelligent machines, mobile devices, and new software applications – integrated with a central platform of Building Information Modelling (BIM). BIM identifies potential design clashes and constructibility issues at the design and engineering stage, thereby averting costly corrective rework.

Working against time, Kimly-Shimizu digitises its work methodology

The Yishun Community Hospital (YCH) consists of 2 inpatient blocks, 428 beds, a break off from patient block to adminstrative block which includes a total of 10 floors and 5 floors for wards. With a site area of 11,600 sqm and GFA of 5200 sqm2, it is not going to be easy to deliver a project of this size within stipulated time.

All in a days work in Shimizu

Know your priorities. For building construction, it is critical to supervise each single activity on site rather than spend too much time on documentation work in office. FINALCAD mobile app helps supervisors and engineers from Shimizu Corporation allocate more time on the field, rather than stuck in office doing paperwork.

Beyond "Ease of use" with Quality Control

What does it mean? Good Quality Control measures quality characteristics, compares them with the established standards, analyses the differences between the results and then ensures the product/service meets compliances.

FINALCAD at RailsConf 2015

Hi! I'm Alexandra, a Ruby developer with FINALCAD. I'm here with my colleague Steve, as we were both attending RailsConf 2015 in Atlanta. Below are my notes taken from the sessions I attended during this great conference. If you're a Ruby developer too, I hope you'll find it helpful!
